Have you ever thought about what goes in to making your mattress? How about your carpet? Do you really need an air purifier? These are all questions or thoughts that have come up over the last year. While I'm certainly not here to scare anyone, I do think it's important that we ask these questions and seek helpful answers to make educated decisions. That's why I asked Sophia Ruan Gushée of Non-Toxic Living to join me on the show to answer these questions.
As I mentioned, my goal is never to scare anyone, only to inform and empower. Did I throw out my mattress after this episode? Hell no! I'm obsessed with our Four Seasons PillowTop, toxic or not! But when it comes to easier swaps like household cleaning products, body care products and the like, I really do feel it's valuable to have all the information. Sophia is an incredible resource for all of this information and more and like me believes in baby steps. So excited to share all this information with you.

How often has money been the root cause of your stress? What if I told you it didn't have to be? Well guess what? I am! Today on the pod I have Jamila Souffrant, a certified financial education instructor sharing all about managing your money, some important steps to take and how to not stress out about your bank account. Let's just say this episode is an important one.
A lot of us don't talk about the struggles we have around money because we're ashamed and afraid. Many of us suffer in silence. But it doesn't have to be this way. Financial health is a key component to your overall health and well-being. It's not something to be ignored. It's also not something we're traditionally taught in school. So today's episode is tackling all of these questions and topics and jumping in to how to manage your relationship with money so it isn't rooted in fear.

As promised, here is part #2 of my Camp Wellness recap! In case you missed part #1 you can check it out here. Rather than sharing my thoughts and feelings around Camp Wellness in written form, I felt like a podcast episode would be the best way to vocalize my very *human* thoughts around the experience and really be transparent with you about some stuff I've been dealing with. If you're new to the podcast, Hi! So happy to have you. You can either listen here on the blog or use some of the links below to listen on a podcast player of choice. I'd also love to hear your thoughts on these solo episodes and if you enjoy them. I've been thinking of doing more of them so your feedback is so helpful! A few snippets from today's episode below...

I've spent the last couple of years making a concerted effort to follow and be surrounded by people who promote positivity, or better yet, exude it. I've found that the more positivity I surround myself with, the better I feel. We weirdly all have this innate instinct to be attracted to things that we do not have and in the process follow and surround ourselves with those people who in the end we just don't feel all that great about. We focus on our lack, rather than our abundance. If you're one of those people, I feel you and I have been there. These days life looks a lot different, both in terms of my surroundings, but also in terms of the abundance I experience in my life, but it wasn't an easy journey to get there.
In fact, the journey really was about flicking a switch in my brain - something that's easier said than done- to focus on the positive, rather than the negative. The repercussions of this are 10 fold. That's the theme of today's episode with my friend Taylor Simpson. How to flick that switch and start feeling your abundant life, instead of the one that for lack of a better term, makes you feel pretty crappy. Because no matter where you're at in this journey, we all have something to be grateful for.
