I'm having a hard time believing 2018 is coming to an end. At the same time I also feel a deep sense of relief that it is and am looking forward to welcoming in a new year and a clean slate. Though to be fair, I don't necessarily believe that come Jan 1 everything resets, but just by nature of having some time off around this time of year I have more time for reflection and brain space to consider what changes I might want to implement. It could just as easily happen on July 23rd (or any other day) but Jan 1 works for me...and seemingly the rest of the world!
With more reflection time comes a new podcast episode where I'm sharing some things I'm afraid to tell you about 2018. The "things I'm afraid to tell you" series was inspired by Jess Lively (who also has a great podcast!) and I've shared my own version of it in the past. This time it comes to you in podcast form because these days it feels like the easiest and safest way for me to communicate my feelings with you. Because to be totally transparent with you: this year was HARD. That's not to say it's been all negative, it's just required a lot of reflection, intention and accepting that growth isn't always easy or fun.
As I look back I certainly notice all the challenging moments, but there's also been some incredible ones. My husband and I committed to life together. I fulfilled my passion of bringing together women into a safe community with Camp Wellness. San Francisco 100% feels like home.
It's been a year of a lot of highs and lows and some of them I haven't shared a whole lot with you. So in today's podcast episode I'm throwing it all out there and letting you in on the things I'm afraid to tell you and how I'm setting intentions as we go into 2019. Enjoy!

Over the past year you've gotten to know my operations manager, Tanya through her story and work she's shared here on THM. She is an invaluable member of Team Maven and everyday I feel so so grateful to know her and work with her.
Not only is she my go-to sounding board, but she's also wise behind her years. I know so many of you enjoyed her post on Working BTS In The Wellness Space so we decided we'd go in depth on the show and discuss her journey and what being behind-the-scenes is really like. We also have a very candid conversation about social media and its affects on all of us. Enjoy our chat!

It feels like I've been waiting years to have an episode like this week's. For one, I've wanted to chat with Lee Vosburgh for a long time. Additionally, I've wanted to have a show dedicated to sustainable fashion and making more conscious choices with your wardrobe for even longer. Lee Vosburgh, the ethical and sustainable fashion blogger behind Style Bee was the perfect guest to bring on the show to chat about these topics.
