Welcome to the first episode of my women's reproductive health series! I'm thrilled to be kicking it off and sharing this resource with all of you. As women, it is so important we understand what is happening in our bodies and there simply are not enough people talking about this. The resources are there, it's just about accessing them and understanding what it all means for us.
For the first episode, I invited Kim Vopni, a pelvic floor and women's empowerment coach onto the show to discuss the importance of the pelvic floor and how to take better care of it. Most women are not educated about the pelvic floor and don't worry about theirs until a problem arises, however there is so much you can do for your pelvic floor preventatively.

What do your adrenals, your thyroid and your hormones all have in common? Today on the show Dr. Aviva Romm is chatting about all 3 and how you can take better care of your endocrine system. I discovered Dr. Aviva Romm while navigating my own hormonal challenges and instantly connected with her. Her functional and integrative approach to medicine leaves room for both western approaches and traditional eastern medicine. I'm deeply grateful for your sustainable approach to hormonal health.

100 episodes! I'll be honest, when I set out to create That's So Maven I wasn't thinking beyond the first 10 episodes, let alone 100 but 100 intros + outros, 93 guests, 7 solo episodes and countless incredible discussions later, we've done it! That's so maven has officially entered triple digits.
I've known for a while now what I wanted to discuss on episode 100. This past year has been nothing short of transformational. Yoga teacher training, getting married, creating Camp Wellness have all been monumental, but the mindset shift that's taken place has changed me deeply as a person. For lack of a better description, I've had a spiritual awakening and that's what I'll be discussing today.
For a long time (more than I'd like to admit) I judged people who had experiences like these. The people who suddenly became so enlightened and wielded their crystals around like a gift from the universe. I am certainly not "enlightened" and while I live my crystals as one of the many tools I use to support my mental, emotional and spiritual health, I don't think they're the answer to everything. BUT I have woken up to a new perspective on seeing the world and truly for the first time in my life am letting go of the reigns and putting more trust in the possibility of the universe to deliver exactly what I want and need.
Yes I just typed that.
So like I said, I judged these types of people...hard. And now I am one of those people. So obviously something has shifted and on today's episode - episode 100 no less!- I'm chatting about my spiritual awakening and what's really been going on in my life this past year. From yoga, to journaling, to crystals + spirits, a lot has happened so come along as I share the ride.

What is breathwork? If I got a nickel for every time I answered this question I'd be rich! To be fair, it's usual my fault they're asking the question since more often than not I'm the person who brings it up. But it's true, ever since discovering breathwork a few years ago, I've been obsessed. That doesn't really answer the question "what is breathwork?" now does it? Good thing I have the perfect guest on the show today sharing her knowledge and wisdom of breathwork with you. Kay Ellis is a breathwork and yoga instructor, practicing buddhist and all around incredible human. We met last year and pretty much from the moment we met it was clear we were connected. I'm grateful to call her a guide and a friend.
